Sample Interval Meter Tariff

A building management company receives interval data showing hourly consumption of electricity at one of their buildings.  Electricity used in Off-Peak Hours (between 5pm and 11am) is charged at a rate of 2.7 cents/kWh, and 9.3 cents/kWh for electricity used in during On-Peak Hours (between 11am and 5pm).

This tariff calculates the total charge within a billing period. While interval data is used to calculate the On- and Off- Peak hours, the charges will not be calculated until the invoice is imported into the system and the tariff is applied.
